(Sept. 30 '21) Virtual meeting between a parent and two school board members
Up until July 2nd 2021, Becky served as board chair and Tom as vice-chair. As of the board meeting on July 2nd they have now switched roles.

Restrictions put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 caused, for good reason, changes in how board meetings were held across the country. However, Becky & BSD leaders used the pandemic to drastically limit free speech (public comments) and continue to do so.
Their version of public comments restricts people to submitting 1000 characters via online form. Becky then briefly summarizes them in a
This was an interesting email from Becky that we were made aware of. A community member called her out for mis-representing and minimizing public comments against their CRT-led approach.
It appears she was going to offer to resign as chair (but not from the board). In their next meeting on July 2nd, she was voted in to be vice-chair as she had reached the time limit for the chair role anyway.
Becky and Tom have continually stood behind Don Grotting, Superintendent of BSD, regardless of the many issues he's caused.
Don has threatened his staff, tried to downplay budget deficits & layoffs, worked a shady deal to retire & get immediately re-hired to enhance retirement benefits, and all the while has pushed a radical agenda right before retiring (again).
Becky and Tom stand behind Don.
